LifeMD Weight Management Program Refund Guidelines

The LifeMD Weight Management Program is a subscription membership program that does not include the cost of medication. Although you may cancel your LifeMD Weight Management Program Membership (“Membership”) at any time, the “Program Costs” (including medical consultations, insurance and benefits verification, prior authorization management, and lab work) you incur prior to cancellation are non-refundable. The LifeMD Weight Management Program Membership Fee (“Membership Fee”) may be refundable if you meet the criteria outlined in one of the “Refundable Scenarios” described below.

Please note, inappropriately representing your eligibility at any time, including inaccurate accounts of medical history or BMI, disqualifies eligibility for a refund. Additionally, you must have self-paid for the LifeMD's Weight Management Program Subscription to qualify for a refund.

Refundable Scenario A:

You submit a request for cancellation of your LifeMD Weight Management Program Membership before your initial medical provider appointment and within the first 30 days following your Membership purchase.

In this scenario, you are eligible for a refund of the Membership Fees you were charged minus the cost of Program Costs incurred by LifeMD, which include medical consultations, insurance and benefits verification, prior authorization management, and lab work (if applicable).

If, however, 30 days pass following your Membership purchase and you have not completed a synchronous medical consultation with a LifeMD affiliated clinician (and you have not yet submitted a formal request to cancel your Membership), you will not be entitled to a refund and LifeMD may automatically cancel your Membership without any further notice.

Furthermore, if you fail to attend your initially scheduled medical consultation, it is your responsibility to reschedule your consultation at a time you can attend within 30 days of your Membership purchase.

In addition, if you fail to complete any required lab work within 30 days of a LifeMD request for you to complete such lab work, LifeMD may automatically cancel your Membership without further notice, and you will not be entitled to a refund.

Refundable Scenario B:

Prior to receiving an initial prescription for GLP-1 medication, it is determined that you do not clinically qualify for treatment with GLP-1 medication.

To be eligible for this refund you must have:

  • Signed up for the LifeMD Weight Management Program after 10/1/2023;
  • Attended all scheduled consultations, completed required lab work, and provided required information in a timely manner.

In this scenario, you are eligible for a refund of the Membership Fees you were charged minus the cost of Program Costs incurred by LifeMD, which include the costs of medical consultations, insurance and benefits verification, prior authorization management, and lab work (if applicable).

This guarantee is only good for the initial onboarding period of the Weight Management Program (i.e., you are no longer eligible for this Refundable Scenario after being prescribed your first dose of GLP-1 medication).

Refundable Scenario C:

During treatment, your provider determines it is no longer appropriate for you to be on a GLP-1 medication.

In this scenario, you are eligible to update your Membership to any primary care subscription, accepting the new monthly payment. Alternatively, you may cancel your LifeMD Weight Management Program Membership and we will reimburse your unused Membership Fees less any incurred Program Costs, rounded to the nearest month (e.g., if you have already made a Membership Fee payment covering the next three months, but treatment will discontinue in the first month of that subscription term, you may request a partial refund for the amount reflecting the second and third month of your Membership Fee, minus any Program Costs incurred by LifeMD, which include medical consultations, insurance and benefits verification, prior authorization management, and lab work (if applicable)).

Refundable Scenario D:

You are clinically eligible for a branded GLP-1 medication, insurance does not cover the cost of GLP-1 medication and/or coverage requires a copay >$500 per month, and you are ineligible for alternative medications.

In this scenario, you are eligible for a refund of the Membership Fees you were charged minus the cost of Program Costs incurred by LifeMD, which include medical consultations, insurance and benefits verification, prior authorization management, and lab work (if applicable).

Refundable Scenario E:

You have not lost at least 10% of your body weight by the date of the one-year anniversary of your continuous enrollment in the LifeMD Weight Management Program and you also meet the criteria for our “Money Back Guarantee” described below.

In this scenario, you are eligible for a refund of the Membership Fees you were charged minus the cost of Program Costs incurred by LifeMD, which include medical consultations, insurance and benefits verification, prior authorization management, and lab work (if applicable).

More detail about this Scenario E:

With LifeMD's “Money Back Guarantee,” you may qualify for a refund of your LifeMD Weight Management Membership Fees if you do not lose 10% of your body weight by the one-year anniversary of your enrollment in the program while meeting the criteria for eligibility, defined below. A refund will account for the Membership Fees charged during the one-year period minus the cost of Program Costs incurred by LifeMD, which include medical consultations, insurance and benefits verification, prior authorization management, and lab work (if applicable).

To be eligible for LifeMD's “Money Back Guarantee” you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • You signed up for the LifeMD Weight Management Program after 10/1/2023;
  • You self-paid for the LifeMD Weight Management Program;
  • You accurately represented your eligibility throughout the LifeMD Weight Management Program, including an accurate account of medical history and BMI;
  • You followed the medical recommendations for medication use, including any suggested medication changes and adjustments, as well as the recommended duration of use;
  • You attended all of your scheduled consultations (i.e., did not miss an appointment without notice) and completed all required lab work.
  • You recorded and/or updated current weight in the patient portal at least weekly (with the latest weight added to the system no more than 10 days after the prior update).
  • Your account has been in good standing at time of request (i.e., there are no outstanding payments or balances).

This “Money Back Guarantee” offer becomes valid on the one-year anniversary of your continuous enrollment in the LifeMD Weight Management Program (i.e. you must have been enrolled in the program for 12 continuous months, in addition to meeting the other requirements described above) and the refund request must be received within 30 days of the one-year anniversary.

You may choose to stay enrolled in the LifeMD Weight Management Program and the refunded amount can be credited toward future LifeMD subscriptions and services.
