What should I expect from my primary care doctor?
From your primary care doctor, you'll have a trusted expert you can rely upon when you have a health issue–an urgent matter, general questions, and when you seek out a specialist or hospital care.
Can my doctor prescribe medications?
We make it easy to request and renew prescriptions. Your doctor can prescribe your necessary prescriptions and our nationwide network can bring your medications right to your doorstep.
How does LifeMD handle labs, imaging, bloodwork, and other tests?
Through our partnerships, we can send a nurse directly to your house to perform the necessary labs and/or bloodwork. Or, if you prefer, we can send you directly to Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp, or any other convenient facility.
Does this replace insurance?
No. You should keep your insurance in case of a medical emergency. Your doctor can refer you to specialists if/when needed.
Does LifeMD offer STI/STD testing?
Yes. If your doctor believes that a lab test would be beneficial for you, they can order a lab test for you. After receiving the lab order, you'll visit a lab location, have your lab test(s) run, and the results should be sent to you from LifeMD within 3-5 business days.
