A healthcare provider will recommend the proper dosage of Viagra for you. Generally, dosages range from 25 to 100 mg (milligrams).
Health experts do not recommend taking more than one dose within a 24 hour period. If you miss a dose, skip it and continue with your regular dosing schedule.

- St. John’s wort
- Cimetidine (Tagamet HB)
- Blood pressure medications
- Alpha blockers
- PDE5 inhibitors
- Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
Be sure to inform a healthcare provider about all the medications and supplements you are taking before starting Viagra.
It’s possible for Viagra to slightly lower blood pressure.
It’s recommended to only take Viagra once a day. You can take it at least four hours before sexual activity.
Viagra may begin working within the first thirty minutes to an hour of taking the medication. Please note that Viagra does not cause erections on their own. The penis must be sexually stimulated.
Viagra can last for up to three to four hours. Please seek medical attention if you have an erection lasting four hours or longer as this is a medical emergency.
