How to Join LifeMD+

Published: Aug 11, 2026 Updated: Aug 11, 2026

A LifeMD+ membership gives you 24/7 access to licensed healthcare providers, same-day prescription refills, exclusive pricing on wellness resources, and convenient lab testing, all in one place. Here's how to sign up and what to expect once you're a member.

How to Sign Up

Signing up takes just a couple of minutes. Enter your information, add your payment details, and you're a member, with 24/7 urgent and primary care with access to providers ready when you need it.

During signup, you'll also be asked to upload a photo ID. This is a standard part of telehealth. It keeps your care secure by confirming your provider is treating the right person and that your prescriptions and records stay tied to you. Your information stays private.

Adding your insurance

Once you've joined, you can add your insurance so it's ready whenever you need care. Look for the insurance tab in your account and upload a photo of your insurance card. LifeMD keeps it on file so your coverage can be applied to visits, prescriptions, and lab work when it's eligible.

Insurance is optional. You can use LifeMD+ as a cash-pay member instead, and you'll see those prices upfront.

What Your Membership Includes

Your LifeMD+ membership covers the core of your urgent and primary care and access. Some services carry additional charges depending on what you need and whether you use insurance.

Here's what to expect.

24/7 access to providers

You can reach a licensed healthcare provider any time, including weekends and holidays. Appointments are available within an hour, so you can get care when you actually need it.

Video visits

Video visits with a licensed provider are available within one hour. They're $50 if you pay cash, or the cost of your co-pay if you use insurance.

Message-based consults

For common issues like UTIs, sinus infections, and pink eye, you can get care through a message-based consult for $20 cash pay, without a video visit.

Prescriptions

When it's clinically appropriate, a LifeMD-affiliated provider can prescribe medication. Your provider reviews your health history, symptoms, and other relevant factors to build the right treatment plan, then sends your prescription straight to your local pharmacy.

Please note: LifeMD-affiliated providers can start or refill most medications, but they cannot prescribe or refill controlled substances such as opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants, or hypnotics.

Lab testing

You can get annual and specialty lab testing through Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp. Lab costs are the patient's responsibility but are often covered by insurance.

A note on insurance: costs through insurance vary based on your coverage and are determined by your insurance provider. Cash-pay prices are the same for everyone, so you'll always know what a visit or consult costs before you book.

Key Point: Does a LifeMD+ Membership Cover Specialty Care?

LifeMD+ covers everyday primary and urgent care. Specialty programs like Weight Management, Women's Health, Men's Health, and Mental Health are separate memberships with their own pricing, and aren't included in a basic LifeMD+ plan.
